APPLE ROOTSTOCKS:

This range of rootstocks originating from Cornell University Geneva, USA is still in an early test phase. Janssen Brothers Nurseries is licence holder for these rootstocks. Research to date has shown G.41, G.11, G.16 and G.202 to be particularly promising.

CHERRY ROOTSTOCKS:

Janssen Brothers Nurseries is licence holder for GiSelA® 5 * and GiSelA® 6 *, Weiroot 720 *, Krymsk® 5 (VSL-2 *), Krymsk® 6 (LC-52 *) and Krymsk® 7 (L-2 *) cherry rootstocks. GiSelA® 5 * and GiSelA® 6 * have a proven track record as being dwarfing, productive rootstocks. Weiroot 720 * is more dwarfing than GiSelA® 5 *, but is also very productive and produces high-quality fruit. Krymsk® 5 (VSL-2 *), Krymsk® 6 (LC-52 *) and Krymsk® 7 (L-2 *) are still in the test phase.

PLUM ROOTSTOCKS:

Janssen Brothers Nurseries is licence holder for the new Krymsk® 1 (VVA-1 *) plum rootstock. Tests have shown Krymsk® 1 (VVA-1 *) to be a high performer. Trees grow gradually on this rootstock, produce a lot of fruit and graft excellently. A unique aspect of this rootstock is that trees bear as early as their second year of growth.

ROOTSTOCKS FOR APRICOT, PEACH, NECTARINE AND ALMOND:

As well as rootstocks for apple, pear, cherry and plum trees, Janssen Brothers Nurseries now also has the Krymsk® 9 (Alab-1 *) rootstock for apricots. The Krymsk® 86 (Kuban 86 *) rootstock is particularly suitable for peaches, nectarines and almonds.
